My name is Angela Johnson, and I currently serve as the School Social Worker at Northeast Middle School. This will be my 2nd year working at Northeast, and I am excited about helping our students grow academically, emotionally, and socially.  Prior to working at Northeast, I have worked in various mental health settings with over 18 years of experience.

I am a proud alum of North Carolina Agriculture & Technical State University, Aggie Pride!! I received my master’s in human services with a specialization in Social and Community Services from Capella University.  I enjoy working with students, families, and school administration. One of my favorite proverbs is, “It takes a village to raise a child.” This proverb conveys the idea that a child needs the support and guidance of many people to grow up in a safe and healthy environment.  My goal this year at NEMS is to empower students, families, and school personnel to access available opportunities and resources that develop each student’s potential. I vow to link my professional growth with my professional goals while at NEMS. I am the Head lady’s basketball coach at NEMS. It is a pleasure to see our youth grow academically and athletically.

I love spending time with my family. I have been married for six years. I am a proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Incorporated. In my free time I like to watch sports, eat, travel, shop, and do DIY house projects.

I look forward to an awesome school year at Northeast Guilford Middle School!
