Lisa G. DeBerry, Career and College Manager (CDC/SPC) at Northeast High School, was a high school CTE instructor for 16 years. She worked as a Special Populations and Career Development Coordinator for five years within Guilford County Schools. Additionally, she worked as a coordinator for the Guilford Parent Academy for 5 years before joining the staff at Northeast High School in 2016. Mrs. DeBerry is a 30-year veteran of education and a graduate of North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University where she received her bachelor's degree in Business and Marketing Education and a master's degree in School Administration.
Mrs. DeBerry enjoys working with students as they prepare for life beyond high school by assisting them with resume' writing, interviewing skills, preparing for college, work, technical school, or the military. As the CCM, Mrs. DeBerry supports all Career and Technical Education (CTE) teachers and provides guidance to students who are interested in internships, coops, apprenticeships and other career development opportunities.
In her role as Career and College Manager she supports all students grades 9 - 12 with their career development. Mrs. DeBerry provides resources for students to explore career opportunities both face-to-face and virtually, take career interest inventories, skill/aptitude assessments, and personality and learning profiles. These assessments/surveys help students fit their interest with a career that they will enjoy.
