• Welcome to Mr. Moss's class website!

I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (Go Spartans!), where I received a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Social Studies licensure. During my time in the UNCG Teaching Fellows program, I was able to intern in many GCS schools but had the privilege of completing my student teaching at Ragsdale High School. This will be my 9th year at Ragsdale and I have been able to teach Civics and Economics, World History, US History,  American History II, AP Human Geography, and AP Government and Politics.

This year I will be teaching World History & AP Human Geography. I'll also be advising Model UN & Student Council. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to reach out at mossm@gcsnc.com.

Please note that there is no required summer work for World History or for AP Human Geography.

The best way to prepare for AP Human Geography is to stay up to date on current events by reading or watching the news.  While this is not a current events course, this will allow you to come to class ready to apply what is going on in your community - be it local, national, or global  - to the course. The course will require you to think geographically and examine the patterns and processes of Population & Migration, Culture, Political Organization, Agriculture, Urban Land Use, and Economic Development. There are NUMEROUS connections between the course and your daily life. As a result, the course is made richer by you bringing your experiences and perspectives into the classroom.

I so look forward to seeing you in the Fall and if you have any questions please do not hesitate to reach out at mossm@gcsnc.com. Please stay safe and enjoy your summer!
