Mrs. Merrie M. Conaway

I am honored to serve as the principal of Kiser Middle School during this exciting time of expanding our school community to encompass students and staff from Swann Middle and the Spanish Immersion Program.  While I am new to the principalship at Kiser, I have been a member of this school community for over 25 years, beginning my career as a school counselor at Grimsley High followed by my first principalship at Lindley Elementary several years ago.  Additionally, my husband and I have been Kiser parents, as our own three children have attended here.  I am invested in this community as a neighbor, parent, colleague, and leader.  I look forward to partnering with all members of the Kiser school community in making Kiser the very best middle school  in Guilford County.  Kiser has a rich tradition and history of academic excellence, which you will find evident in all that we do.  Kiser was established in 1957 and has proudly served the community of Greensboro since opening.  At this time, our new building is under construction and we hope to relocate to this stunning facility in 2025.
