We are delighted to introduce Dr. Darrick K. Bracy, who has joined us with a wealth of experience and a proven track record of educational leadership and innovation.

With over 2 decades of experience in the educational field, Dr. Bracy has held various roles, including classroom teacher, Assistant Principal, and Human Resources Manager. Dr. Bracy has been a transformative figure at Dean B. Pruette SCALE (School-Community Alternative Learning Environment) Academy, home of the Eagles, where he has demonstrated his commitment to fostering an educational environment that embraces diversity, innovation, and personalized learning paths. His leadership has contributed significantly to the school’s progress, including the launch of the first Student Ambassador Program and a substantial increase in community partnerships to better support students and families.

Dr. Bracy is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of students and empowering them to positively impact the world with their gifts and talents. His leadership philosophy is rooted in collaboration and strategic planning, ensuring that every student receives high-quality instruction tailored to their unique needs. His efforts have already moved the school's accountability status from Needs Improvement to Excellent Progress, highlighting his effectiveness in driving educational success.

Dr. Bracy holds a BS in Health & PE and a Master of School Administration from North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University as well as a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from High Point University, further exemplifying his commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Dr. Bracy is enthusiastic about working closely with our dedicated staff, supportive families, and community partners to cultivate an environment where excellence is expected, students are challenged, and differences are valued. His vision is to equip our students with the skills necessary for career and college readiness, fostering their academic, social, and emotional growth.
