•  A Message from Dr. Robertson:

    I love what I do!

I am so excited to embark on another wonderful school year at Brown Summit Middle.  Being the principal of such a wonderful school is truly a gift.  I am constantly encouraged by the level of enthusiasm for learning, the spirit of service, and the longing to make an impact on society that our students possess.  Because of students like ours, I know the future will be full of promise.

I look forward to continuing our legacy of educational excellence.  Relationships, visibility and accessibility, equity, and continuous improvement remain as key drivers for my work.

The staff and I will continue our mission of providing an exemplary learning experience to all of our students.  We understand that the world is constantly changing.  Richard Riley (former US Secretary of Education) puts it best as he stated, “We are currently preparing students for jobs that don’t yet exist, using technologies that haven’t been invented, in order to solve problems we don’t even know are problems yet”.

In modern education, that is what we must do!!  It is my goal to continue assessing our programming to ensure that we are providing students with what they need to be successful.  Please be sure to check out our social media accounts to stay abreast of some of the wonderful things that are going on at BSMS.  Our Twitter account is @BSMS Phoenix.

I am looking forward to a great school and believe that 2020 will be our best year yet.
