Hello.
Welcome to the Metals Technologies Program at Weaver Academy. I have been teaching Metals Tech since 1998 starting with my 1st teaching assignment at Lee County High School in Sanford NC. I accepted my teaching position at Weaver Academy in October of 2006.
Prior to my teaching career, I worked as a Tool and Die Maker at Moen Inc. in Sanford NC for approximately 12 years. I served my Apprenticeship at Moen and I am a registered Journeyman Tool and Die Maker with the NC Department of Commerce.

Metals Technologies Advanced Studies
Industry Apprenticeships such as the GAP
Metals Tech students have the opportunity to also compete in the SKILLS USA competitions for CNC Programming/Operation and other competitions within Skills USA.
Metals Tech students are introduced to numerous opportunities to become employed as an Apprentice with local manufacturers and employers in the Guilford Apprenticeship Partners (GAP) program.
