Mr. Jacob Charles Luck is a passionate theatre professional and arts educator committed to enriching communities through the performing arts. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Theatre with a Minor in Musical Theatre from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (Class of 2018). With over six years of teaching experience in Guilford County Schools, Mr. Luck has become a cornerstone of arts education, inspiring creativity and nurturing theatrical skills in young learners.

As the founding director of Northwest Little Theatre at Northwest Guilford Middle School, Mr. Luck has directed a wide range of productions, including Grease, Our Town, Footloose, Into the Woods, 13 the Musical, High School Musical JR, Mean Girls JR, Matilda JR, and the upcoming SpongeBob the Musical in April 2025. His leadership spans casting, blocking, creative vision, technical coordination, logistics, marketing, volunteer engagement, and sponsorship outreach, ensuring that each production is a collaborative and enriching experience.

In addition to his teaching and directing, Mr. Luck’s professional theatre experience includes performances and technical roles in regional productions such as South Pacific and Beautiful Star: An Appalachian Nativity (Triad Stage), The Lost Colony, A Christmas Carol (Goodly Frame Theatre Company), and Dembe (Paper Lantern Theatre Company). His youth theatre and community work includes productions like The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, Shrek the Musical, Guys and Dolls, Hairspray, and Young Frankenstein.

Mr. Luck’s background also extends to media and broadcasting, having worked with Rock 92.3 WKRR, 107.5 WKZL, and The Dispatch in Lexington, NC. He is certified by the Society of American Fight Directors, is an Actors’ Equity Membership candidate, and holds a K-12 Initial License in Theatre Arts, demonstrating his commitment to both performance and pedagogy.
