Ms. Bowman

I am thrilled to join Dr. Monell and the Southwest Guilford High School administrative team in service to students, families, and the SWGHS community.

As an educator, I’ve had the pleasure of teaching students as a reading specialist, an ESL teacher and an ELA teacher in elementary, middle, and high schools. I’ve also worked in GCS district positions as a Character Development/Service-Learning Specialist and as a Secondary Literacy Supervisor. Most recently, I served as an Assistant Principal at Jamestown Middle School.

I am a graduate of the College of Charleston with a Masters in Reading from UNC- Greensboro and School Leadership credentials from Appalachian State University. 

In my free time, I love to bake, read great books, travel, and spend time outside having adventures with my family.
