Welcome to the service learning page! If you have any questions or concerns about your service hours and you cannot find the answer here, please email me at stephel@gcsnc.com! 

To register your service hours, you need to log them in x2vol.com.  

If you do not already have an account, create one using our school code, 341600. If you do have an account, make sure your old school is no longer listed as your current school. Once you have created an account or changed your school, let me know so I can verify your enrollment and you can start claiming your hours! 

If you are claiming service hours from a school event (NHS, Magnet Recruitment, Yearbook, etc.) then you can find those under school opportunities. If you are claiming hours from a project/organization you completed independently, you must FIRST complete the Service Learning Approval Form (linked in x2vol). Remember to be as thorough as possible in your form, so that I can approve it for service. 

Service Hours must be claimed in x2vol the semester they are earned.

Seniors must claim all of their service hours in x2vol by April, 2025.

Current and Upcoming Service Learning Opportunities: 

GCS is sponsoring 10 students to attend the Anytown Leadership Camp, June 15-20th.  Anytown is a youth leadership and human relations program for teens. It gathers diverse groups of high school students to spend a week learning how to build an inclusive community. Anytown is a welcoming space where students can express themselves, share their experiences and perspectives, gain resilience, and build each other up. Together, they tackle tough topics like race, religion, gender, and other aspects of identity. They practice communicating respectfully, learning to appreciate differences and find common ground. Then they take what they’ve learned back home, ready to make an impact in their schools and everywhere they go. Click here to apply!
