Hello Viking Parents/Guardians and Community,I hope that you have had a chance to relax, recharge, and be ready to begin a new year! I am so excited to welcome students back on campus for the 2024-2025 school year.Backpack? Check. School clothes? Check. Pencils? Check. Bright, shiny attitude? Check. Yep, you’re ready for an awesome year! Get ready, get set for the best year yet! You’re going to have an amazing and full of creativity school year! Smiles are free, and kind words cost nothing, but they can be worth the world.Be inspirational as you begin this new school year. Find something to celebrate every day! Education is the gateway to a world of dreams. Motivation is the key. All your hard work will pay off from the first day to the last day. May this school year be the best. Education allows you to believe in yourself and persevere. You’ve got this!There is a lot to look forward to this year – more amazing academic achievements, more exciting athletic competitions, and more extraordinary student performances. While we had all hoped that COVID would become history by now, the virus continues to bring challenges. Guilford County Schools is adjusting by putting multiple layers of protection in place.In spite of the challenges ahead, I am staying focused on our end goal: preparing students for the future by inspiring the joy of learning in every child, every day.My hope as the Reproductive Health and Safety Education Teacher, is that students understand that "education is transformation", "just like puberty", and that each lesson is a stepping stone on the journey that leads to success. I also encourage students to "enjoy each moment of their education" because it is positive and powerful. This school year we are "returning back better" because education is a life-altering renewal.I look forward to welcoming all of our students back on campus and back into the Reproductive Health and Safety Education classroom.
