• The Guilford Association of School Librarians (GASL) annually awards a GCS school library media coordinator with the honor of Media Specialist of the Year. Nominees complete an application that highlights their work in special programming, advocacy, community partnerships, and instructional support. The recipient is selected by a panel that includes the GASL Professional Development Committee and fellow association members. This award is given in the spring of each year.
