Good evening Wildcat Families, this is Principal McNeill with your weekly updates. I hope that everyone enjoyed the weekend. Attention 8th grade parents, the 8th grade formal will be held on May 17th from 6 -8 pm. Information was sent home with students before spring break. This event will cost $20, which will include admission, food, and drinks.  Tickets must be purchased by May 9th.

Attention 8th grade parents, the 8th grade promotion ceremony will be held on June 10th at 5:30 PM at Eastern High School. If you have any questions, please contact the front office.

Starting May 5, students have the opportunity to enjoy a day in park after EOGs if they meet certain criteria. The first criteria is perfect attendance from May 5th through June 5th. If a student is absent, an excuse note must be submitted within three days of the student's return. The second criteria is that students must meet their projection goal on the EOG. If you have any questions, please contact the school.

The Summer Band Concert will be on Thursday May 15th at 6:00pm at Eastern High School. Band students are to report to the high school band room by 5:30pm that evening for attendance. This is a required event and is considered the band “final” for the quarter. Students are required to attend the rest of the concert after their playing portion has finished and will have a designated place to sit in the auditorium.

Great news! Our school has partnered with Smile Programs…the mobile dentists that offers in-school dental care. The mobile dentist is scheduled for May 13th - 14th. Parents can sign their student up at www.MySchoolDentist.com in order to be seen by the dentist.

Monday our baseball and softball teams will play Southeast at home. Tuesday our track team will have a meet at home. Thursday our baseball and softball teams will play Northern at home. Please come out and support our Wildcats.

Congratulations to the following for being nominated for Wildcat of the Week: Selena, Taliyah, Amy, Jaden, Isaac, Josue, Y'Bini, and Aaliyah. Keep up the great work! Remember, any one of you could be the next Wildcat of the Week. Let’s continue to inspire one another and make a positive impact every day. Go Wildcats!

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out. Enjoy the rest of your evening.
