To obtain a Youth Employment Certificate (work permit), visit the website below and follow the instructions.
NC Department of Labor
Students must already have a job offer to complete the form. Students will complete the form online. Work permits will be available to print and/or save when completed. There are no signatures, documents, or other information needed for the school.
Essential Employability Skills
What is an Essential Employability Skill?
Just as the name implies, an essential employability skill is any skill that prepares you for being an employee.
These six skills were introduced at the 2019 NC CTE Summer Conference. They are Communication, Ethics, Problem Solving, Professionalism, Resource Management and Teamwork.
