Derek Martinez - Baseball

Derek will continue his education and baseball career at North Carolina A&T State University.

As most people know, Derek Martinez tore his ACL right before the start of our season.  The bad thing is that Derek was set up to have an all-state caliber year.  He has worked so hard to make himself a great player.  One of the saddest things in my coaching career is not being able to see that hard work come to life during Derek’s senior year.  Derek is a beast on the baseball field, and he is an incredibly clutch performer.  We are going to miss the player he was here, but we will really miss the person he became in the last 4 years.
