Ms. Ta'Wuana Cook-Assistant Principal
I am proud to be an Assistant Principal at Jamestown Middle School where I am honored to serve under the leadership of Dr. Trent Vernon. I am excited to work with the students, staff, parents, and our Administrative team as we strive to prepare our students to excel inside and outside of their classrooms. I look forward to working in this amazing learning community to encourage all students to aim for greatness, live to their fullest potential, and to see the best in themselves.
Prior to coming to Jamestown Middle, I served as the 7th Grade and Encore Department Administrative Intern at Jackson Middle School, before serving as the Health and PE Teacher/Administrative Intern at Dean Pruette SCALE Academy in High Point.
Born and raised in Fayetteville NC, I came to Greensboro to attend North Carolina A&T State University on a 4 year Basketball scholarship as the starting point guard for the Lady Aggies, obtaining my Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Science in 2010, while winning 3 MEAC Championships as a respected Lady Aggie. I became a Women’s Professional Basketball Athlete, playing Overseas for 2 years, before deciding to return to the states to obtain my Masters in Teaching-Physical Education from NC A&T in 2013. I have taught in Guilford County for 5 years at the Early/Middle College @ GTCC-Greensboro and High Point, before being selected to participate in High Point University’s Second Leadership Academy Cohort where I obtained my Masters in Educational Leadership.
While I’m not at school, I enjoy spending time with my Family and Friends, spending time outdoors and at the beach, and playing Basketball in the Greensboro Adult Women’s League.
