Ms. McClanahan

I am Jill McClanahan and I am excited to be WGMS’ Instructional Coach and Curriculum Facilitator. I earned my teaching degree from East Carolina University in 1995 and National Board Certification in 1999. I just recently received my M.Ed through the University of Greensboro.

During my 23 years as a teacher, I have taught second, third, and fifth grade and served as a Media Coordinator in Edgecombe, Pitt and Guilford County before moving to WGMS to teach sixth grade Language Arts and I have stayed here for 13 years.

Middle School is where my heart is and as an instructional coach I have the unique opportunity to work with all grade levels (students and teachers) to help make learning more meaningful to our students.

WGMS has been the best 13 years of my teaching experience and I hope you and our students feel that way about the time you spend here. It really is a special place to work and learn.
