Ms. Britany Green Stimpson (Ms. Green)

Mrs. Britany Green Stimpson (Ms. Green) is the director of orchestras at Grimsley Senior High School and Kiser Middle School in Greensboro, North Carolina, where she has now taught for the last 20 years.  She has traveled with her Orchestras to places such as Juilliard, NYU Steinhardt School, University of Maryland School of Music, Georgetown University, Vanderbilt Blair School of Music, and the Grand Ole Opry, Loyola University in New Orleans, among other major US landmarks to perform and participate in musically enriching experiences.  Mrs. Green has served as a guest conductor and clinician at various events such as the North Carolina Western Region All State Repertory Orchestra, as well as the Robeson County All County Orchestra in North Carolina, Winston-Salem/Forsyth All County Orchestra Clinic, and the North Carolina Eastern Region Junior All State Orchestra. Mrs. Green has served as the North Carolina Music Educators Association Western Region North Carolina Orchestra Clinic Chairperson for the past 3 years. Additionally, Mrs. Green is a National Board Certified Teacher in secondary music education.  Mrs. Green received her Bachelor of Music in Music Education and her Masters of Music in Music Education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro College of Visual and Performing Arts. She resides in Greensboro, North Carolina with her husband, Howard Stimpson, principal of Penn-Griffin School for the Arts, and their three children, Ella, Liam, and Kate.
