EXCITING NEWS:
There is an Out of the Garden Project (OOTGP) Fresh Mobile coming to your area.
OOTGP Fresh Mobile Markets are mobile food pantries which distribute fresh produce, bread, meat and shelf stable items on a monthly basis. Families can expect to leave a Fresh Mobile Market with at least 65 pounds of food. Totally Free.
I'm sure you are aware that in our current climate, many families are hurting. 1 in 5 residents are food insecure and these markets are a great way to help. Everyone needs food.
Most, if not all of you, know about this wonderful organization but you can also log into their website at outofthegardenproject.org
The next OOTGP Fresh Mobile Market is scheduled for:
Thursday, March 4th from noon to 2 p.m.
Guilford School Rd. (side street next to Western Guilford Middle School)
Please enter on Lindley Rd. (side of school and you will exit on Guilford College Rd. side)This is a drive up/through market and volunteers will be there to place the food in your vehicle.
We ask that everyone wear a mask.
Please do not arrive before 11:30 a.m.
This will be the 2nd market at this location. The plan is to do one a month, the first Thursday of each month from noon to 2 p.m.
Best to all and I look forward to seeing you on March 4th.

GCS to Streamline Arrival Process with New App
GCS plans to streamline the health-screening arrival process at all middle and high schools with a new platform beginning Feb. 22. State public health protocols require all schools and offices to check temperatures and ask COVID-19 related screening questions prior to or immediately upon building entry.
The new platform allows parents/guardians to certify that students are healthy by answering the required screening questions using any computer or mobile device prior to boarding a school bus or arriving at school.

Reminders for Parents as GCS Students Prepare to Return
As middle and high school students prepare to return to GCS schools starting next week, here are some helpful reminders for parents.
· Families must complete the Safety iPass health screening before entering the school building. Temperatures will be taken at school during the entry process. Click here for more information.
