Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) is one of the most talked about acronyms today. STEM fields of study are steadily growing in popularity and doing so at a faster rate than that of non-STEM fields of study worldwide, therefore it is imperative to provide a space that fosters STEM engagement. The goal of the Guilford County Schools STEM Department is to provide quality STEM instruction to ALL students by integrating math, engineering and technology in all K-12 science classrooms. Science teachers engage students in problem solving by using the engineering process, while connecting science standards to students lives.
