Umholtz

¡Hola chicos! My name is Sandra Aguirre Umholtz. I am from Colombia South America. I received my B.A. in Teaching English as a Second Language from University of Valle in Cali Colombia, and my Master’s degree in Teaching Spanish as a Second Language from University of Puerto Rico. This is my eighth year teaching in North Carolina. I had my first experience as a  high school teacher when I was 19. That wonderful experience changed my life and made me study hard to be a great teacher and inspire my students to succeed in their learning of a second language. I enjoy so much teaching to my students because teaching is my passion.  I love sharing about my country and my culture with my students.  I'm an online Spanish instructor in a community college.  I love reading a book, dancing salsa and cooking Colombian food for my husband and my three boys.  Visiting places is one of my favorite things to do with my family, I find very interesting to learn more and more about people, culture and traditions, and traveling is the best way to do it!
